FRANK BIALLY Frank Bially passed away peacefully January 16, 2018. In his last days he was surrounded by the love of family and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Peter and mother, Margaret as well as his brother Jackie and sisters, Mollie (Steve), Anne and Mary (Steve). He was born on November 30, 1938 in the town of Overstoneville, Manitoba. He was raised on the family farm and left home at an early age moving to Winnipeg where he married the love of his life Elsie and started his 33-year career as a machinist at Superior Cable. Frank was loved by everyone he met. Many people even referred to him as a "big teddy bear". He spent his summers planting beautiful flowers in his garden, visiting with the neighbours and working on odd jobs around the house. Frank loved music, he played the accordion and guitar, and boy could he dance. He particularly enjoyed Zabava every Saturday evening on his radio. Left to remember his gentle kindness and great sense of humour are his loving wife of 53 years, Elsie; and his sons Dale (Liam) and Trevor (Megan); his brothers, Nestor (Nancy), Henry (Helen), Harry; sisters, Pauline, Rose (John), and Bernice (Terry) and numerous nieces and nephews. Frank was very grateful for the loving care he received over the years from his physician Dr. Terry Babick. The family sends a special thanks to the wonderful staff at Riverview Palliative Care Unit who treated him with incredible compassion in his last days. A Funeral Service and Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church at 250 Jefferson Avenue with a lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Schizophrenia Society of Manitoba. Vichnaya Pamyat
