PATRICIA GAIL HEUCHERT
Born: Sep 28, 1946
Date of Passing: Jan 13, 2018Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or Memory
PATRICIA GAIL HEUCHERT On January 13, 2018, with both of her sons at her side, Mom, aged 71, having been diagnosed with Leukemia, took her last breath. She endured Leukemia with the same vigor and tenacity that defined the way she lived each day. Mom was born in St. Boniface on September 28, 1946, the youngest of eight children. Her parents, Richard and Emily, had emigrated from Ireland and settled the family in Winnipeg. During her time in the city, Pat pursued a higher education and cultivated the relationship that would lead to her happy marriage to her loving husband Ronald Heuchert. She is survived by her two loving sons, Bill and Greg. Pat achieved many successes during her career as a teacher and counsellor but it was how deeply she was able to connect and resonate with people on an individual level that will be her legacy. Into retirement, Pat stayed busy with yoga, travelling, reading and time with friends and family. Pat was truly loved by her many nieces and nephews and was a source of much family history for all. Pat's family would like to acknowledge the great wealth of compassion shown by a seemingly endless source of people. The nursing staff at the Health Sciences Centre, doctors both near and far, friends, family, volunteers, home care, palliative care and especially the Minnedosa nursing staff. The family is truly grateful for the compassion and care you provided. For those that wish to show their condolences, please donate to Minnedosa Palliative Care.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)
I met Pat when she was the EAP counselor for MTS. We had many, many talks and eventually became friends even after I retire. She use to comment on how much my husband Bryan reminded her of Ron. She was truly a special person to me and so many others, students, clients, and family and friends. I regret that we lost touch with each other and especially that she had to go while still so young. The consolation is that she will no longer be ill and that she will join Ron. I will treasure her memory always. Rest peacefully, Pat. - Posted by: Germaine Kowal (friend) on: Feb 23, 2018
My condolences on the passing of your mom. I was a long time friend of your dad back in the days of Lord Selkirk High School. We grew up together in Elmwood. - Posted by: Garth Palanuk (Friend of your dad) on: Jan 28, 2018
The wonders of technology allowed me to be a regular e-mail pal and recipient of Pat's wisdom. As is often the case, we do not retain the content of meetings or lessons, but rather, the persona of the presenter or teacher. I will treasure Pat's friendship, advice, and sincerity as I remember her. To Bill and Greg and the extended Heuchert family, my sincerest condolences for your loss. - gh. - Posted by: Gary Hornung (MTS colleague and friend) on: Jan 27, 2018
