Our condolences are offered to Kathy and her family, My wife and I first met Jim when we joined the Winnipeg Lawn Tennis Club. He was one of the most welcoming players and I felt very grateful when he invited me to play with his group. Jim was a gentleman to be sure and he and Kathy made a wonderful couple. In more recent years, Jim and Kathy joined the Norberry CC to play pickleball and were warmly welcomed. As we were traveling at the time, we only learned of his passing when we saw Kathy at Norberry CC yesterday. All pickleballers were shocked and saddened with the news. We all cherish his memory. - Posted by: Michaele and Roy Milburn (Friends) on: Feb 14, 2018

Kathy and family, We were so sorry to see that Jim had passed away. He was always such a gentleman, fun to play tennis with, and had a great sense of humour ...from our memories at Winnipeg Lawn Tennis Club years ago. You made such a great couple. Ross, I'm very sorry to read of your Dad's passing in today's newspaper. I used to run into your Dad from time to time at different events and we would have a little catch up. I hope you're doing well in Australia. We had lots of good times back in our old Transcona Pipe Band days! I know my parents always enjoyed being in your parents' company as well - they were wonderful people. May I express my deepest sympathy to you and your family, as well as Jimmy's wife Kathy and blended family members. Cheers! - Posted by: Joyce Hooper (Family friend from Ross's pipe band days) on: Jan 27, 2018
