ANNE KRYWOKULSKY (nee KOZEY) 1921-2018 Anne was born the eldest of seven children, in a sod house on a Saskatchewan farm in 1921. Her life came to a full circle as she wanted, in her own home with her family, in Northwestern Ontario this week just short of her 97th birthday. She left her farm home in 1950 and moved to Winnipeg just in time for the 1950 Flood and the polio epidemic. In 1955, she met and married John Krywokulsky, who had immigrated to Canada from Ukraine after the war in 1949. They started their family life with John working as a molding machine operator at what is now Ancast Industries and she as a homemaker. Soon after, Linda, Janet and Eileen were born. Anne worked hard as a mother and wife. Her Saskatchewan farm upbringing meant she had the biggest garden and the most beautiful flower beds she could fit onto their property. She was always making pickles, canning, and freezing her fresh vegetables. There were always excursions into the bush looking for the best blueberries, wild plums and mushrooms to put into her freezer. When the first grandchild, Melissa, arrived followed by David, the role of Baba was added. And she was a wonderful one! The two of them would inform Linda that they were packing up to go to Baba and Dido's and they would let her know when they would be coming back. In 2000, after John had retired, Anne and John moved to be with Eileen and her family where they planted even bigger gardens and were able to see their other grandchildren; Aline, Pascale, Gabrielle and Eric. All the grandchildren were so fortunate to get to know their grandparents. Their great grandchildren Pinja and Siiri also looked forward to their visits with them. John passed away in 2015 at the age of 93. Anne continued to try to be as active as she could despite her age. She was able to still work in her garden for one more year. Anne was predeceased by her loving husband John, her brothers Peter and John and sister Ollie. She is survived by her siblings Russell, Nick and Elizabeth and their offspring. She is also survived by her daughters Linda, Janet and Eileen and their extended families. Cremation has taken place. Anne and John's ashes will be interned at a later date. If you so desire, in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her name to CNIB, or a charity of your choice. Condolences may be sent to Dryden Community Funeral Home at dcfh@drytel.net
