MARION BARRIE LYON DEARLOVE (née ROBERTSON) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marion Dearlove at the age of 74. Marion passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 24, 2018 at Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home in Kenora. Marion was predeceased by her husband Dave, her father and mother, John and Janet Robertson, her father and mother-in-law, Dennis and Elsie Dearlove. Born on April 7, 1943 in Glasgow, Scotland and moved to Canada in 1951, with her family, to call Winnipeg home. While working as a dental assistant, she met David Dearlove and they were married in 1965. Shortly after, they moved to Kenora to raise their two beautiful daughters. She is fondly remembered by family and friends, for sharing her delicious cooking, advice and heartfelt hugs. Marion loved to travel, with the family, to far away destinations and enjoyed many family road trips. Her girls will always remember their Mommy's beautiful singing voice! She was an active member of the community, a volunteer librarian for many years at St. Louis School, the 'Welcome Wagon' Lady, a board member for the Canadian Mental Health Association and a member of Kinettes, K-ettes, and Eastern Star. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date, Alcock Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
