DOREEN JUNE PIKE (nee FELTHAM) November 30, 1946 - January 28, 2018 It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Doreen after a brief yet courageous battle with cancer. Doreen died peacefully, with family by her side, at the Grace Hospital on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the age of 71. Forever to cherish Doreen's memory are her husband of 49 years, Vince; loving sons Shawn (Tammy) and Greg (Heather); precious grandchildren Cole and Caitlyn; sister Marion, sister-in-law Christine (Ed), brothers-in-law Al (Suzanne) and Barry (Brad); and her many nieces and nephews. Doreen was predeceased by her parents Elijah and Susie Feltham, her brother, Clayton; her sister Dallas with whom she shared a special bond; and her father-in-law Harry Pike. A special thank you to her niece Karen Fowler who ensured all Doreen's needs were met with compassion and dignity in her final days. Service will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. on Thursday, February 1 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Doreen's memory to CancerCare Manitoba. No longer in our lives to share, but in our hearts you'll always be there.

Doreen June Pike and her husband Vince Pike have been our neighbours for the last 15-years, when we moved to the next door house from Mississauga. Doreen Pike was such a nice neighbour and great mentor for our three growing kids. Always greeting my kids with smiling face, and helping them to continue play by returning back their Badminton Shuttle Cocks in the backyard. Always appreciating a hot day walk in the neighbourhood. We will always miss the smiling face. May God Almighty bless the departed soul and rest her in peace. Indeed we belong to God Almighty, and indeed to Him we will return. I met Doreen on one of my many walks with Toby. She always stopped to say hello to Toby and would chat with me about life. She always told me to retire early as life is just too short. Each time we met her she always had a smile on her face and would always let Toby give her a hello kiss. We will both miss her this summer as she often joined us on our walks.
