MONTEREY DEE THERESA DELORME ("Sweet Dancing Woman" Siwi Miniyito Iskwew) April 13, 1970 - January 20, 2018 It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Monterey Dee Theresa Delorme. Survived by Monterey is her only child Stuart Grant Delorme, of North Bay, ON and her only granddaughter Aubree Delorme; parents, Patrick and Elaine Cadotte; and siblings, John Lerat, Ivy Lynn Bear, Deborah Delorme, Dallas Cadotte and Shonna Coulinierre. Monterey was predeceased by her biological father Victor James Lerat; sisters, Victorine Lerat, Sonya Lerat-Keepness, Deidre Dawn Lerat and Natalie Joanne Delorme. Monterey lived most of her life in Winnipeg. From a young age it was clear that she had a zest for knowledge, often spending hours in the library reading and teaching herself. Monterey graduated from Dakota Collegiate Institute in 1989. She began a career in the health care field, where she excelled rapidly, enriching the lives of those she worked with. Her pride and two loves in the world were her son Stuart and grand-daughter Aubree. Monterey's fun loving spirit will be greatly missed and all will cherish many wonderful memories. A wake was held at Cowessess Community Hall on Friday, January 26, 2018 and a traditional service will take place at the Cowessess Community Hall on Saturday, January 27, 2018. A Celebration of Life will be held in Winnipeg on Friday, April 13, 2018 (location to be determined at a later date). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Special thanks to Thompson "In the Park" Funeral Home Conductor of Services: Douglas Warren Delorme. Honorary pallbearers: Jason L. Delorme, Colin Delorme, Victor Lance Pelletier, Rebecca June Pelletier, Harvey Delorme and Kobe Lynn Delorme.
