Born: Feb 21, 1926
Date of Passing: Jan 29, 2018
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAMELA (PAM) WILSON February 21, 1926 - January 29, 2018 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful friend, sister, aunt, wife, mother and grandmother. Pam will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her sons Michael and Larry (Kim); granddaughters Kaylee and Danielle; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ken, sisters Bar and Betty, and brother Phil. Pam's parents, Charles Baker and Ruth Baker (Wells) emigrated from England to Canada in 1907 and 1912 respectively. Pam was also born in England in a little place called Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, but made her home in Winnipeg, with the exception of six wonderful years spent in Kingston, Ontario. Pam met Ken, the love of her life, at a dance in Winnipeg. They were married in 1954 and stayed devoted to each other for the balance of their lives. Pam and Ken travelled extensively throughout Canada, Britain and also took the odd warm vacation in the Caribbean and southern United States. Pam loved Victoria Beach and vacationed there regularly. Shortly after marrying Ken, Pam devoted her life to raising a family, until she found time to attend College. She completed her studies in early childhood education and worked in a variety of teaching and support roles culminating in her retirement from H.L. Softly School in 1989. In Pam's 29 years of retirement she engaged in golfing, bowling, knitting, playing cards with friends and enjoying her family and dogs. Her happiest moments were spent with her grandchildren Kaylee and Danielle. They spent the last evening and night with her, a loving send-off to a life well lived. The family wishes to express its gratitude to the excellent staff of Poseidon Care Centre. Pam requested that there be no funeral or memorial service. A private interment will take place in the spring where Pam will join her beloved Ken at St. Vital Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation in Pam's memory to a charity of their choice.

Michael and Larry, I don't expect you to remember me. Our Morgan family lived just across Canterbury Place to the south of your house until the end of February. 1965. My brother, Rick(ie) and I used to play with you. I remember your mom as a very nice lady who gave me some of your old baby clothes for my doll. A big treat was coming into your house and having Pepsi and Christie's chocolate wafers! It is hard to imagine your mom being almost 92, but I am not 10 anymore! Condolences on your loss. - Posted by: Cathie Morgan Matula (former neighbour on Kildonan Dr.) on: Feb 04, 2018
