DAVID BRIAN JOSS On February 5, 2018 David Brain Joss, surrounded by loved ones, passed away peacefully. David had a life full of laughter and love. Introduced to Winnipeg Beach by his mother, this north end Winnipeg boy fell in love with the area, eventually moved there and fully enjoyed living in the area. David was born March 23, 1954. He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Currie of Winnipeg Beach, his children, Dale, Dawn (Robert), Derek (Shelly) and Tasha, and his grandchildren, Nick, Vincent, Lola and Isabella. He is also survived by his siblings, Bill (Betty), Donna (Bob), and many nieces and nephews. David was born in Winnipeg and raised in the north end, where he made many lifelong friends. After graduating high school David married and began working for CP Rail and moved to Calgary with the railway. After a few years he went back to school and began a career as an appliance repair tech and then went to work for Sears in both Regina and Winnipeg. He moved to Winnipeg Beach, where he started his own company (D-Tech Appliance Repair) and serviced the Interlake area for many years. He was a good grandfather who loved his grandkids and never missed a special occasion. He enjoyed being with them and doing many projects with them. The family would like to thank the staff at the Johnson Memorial Hospital in Gimli for their kind care of David during his last days. Cremation has already taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date in the beach area. Rest in Peace, David...

  • My deepest condolences to Evelyn, Bill , Donna and David's family. The years have flown by and I have not seen you in many years. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I have fond memories of visiting everyone on the farm in Hadashville at Weddings and Anniversary celebrations. I now live in Denver, Colorado with my children and don't get to visit Winnipeg very often. - Posted by: BEVERLY LOVENUK (Cousin) on: Feb 17, 2018

  • As a young kid growing up in the north end of Winnipeg, I met Dave and Bill Joss early when we were in grade school. Dave took most of us kids on the block under his wing as he was a couple of years our senior. He gave me my first ever job as a 10 yr. old delivering the Free Press with him. I remember Dave taking us over to the dump on Sask. Ave to go sledding on cold blue winter days. Dave was a good soul, always had a smile on his face and loved his family. He will be missed by many but never forgotten. God bless and many prayers to the family in this time of sorrow. - Posted by: David Rodgers (Childhood friend) on: Feb 07, 2018
