Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOUGLAS EDWIN WILKINSON December 7, 1932 - February 4, 2018 In memory of Doug, who passed away after a short illness on Sunday, February 4, 2018. He will be sadly missed by his children, Ellen (Bill), Jeff (Louise), Judy (Grant), Jason (Barb), and stepdaughter Jody (Dave). He also will be missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dad loved to sit on his front porch, have a drink, and share food with family and friends. Those who knew him know everyone was always welcome. There was always a big stash of candy and chips for anyone he encountered. He loved gardening in his yard, spending time in the outdoors, and listening to country music. He was a no-nonsense kind of a guy who would not want us to make a fuss. As per Dad's wishes, cremation has already taken place and there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice or enjoy a drink in his memory. Condolences can be left on the Wheeler Funeral Home website.

Mr. Wilkinson will always be MR. Wilkinson to me .... a kind. caring, happy, giving and strong gentleman who gave me my first job at Canada Safeway in 1971 !!! He was like a Dad to me in those younger years .... THANK YOU MR. Wilkinson for that first opportunity that lead to many more !!! My prayers and thoughts go out to ALL of your family especially Ellen who was such a dear friend of mine in junior high and high school !!! I hope that we can re connect Ellen !!
