Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH WAYNE WASYLIW February 26, 1955 - February 3, 2018 Peacefully, with family by his side, Ken passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018. Ken is survived by his parents Rose and John, and brother Doug. Ken will be forever missed by his loving wife Laverne, son Jordan (Julie), and daughter Jillian; as well as many nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. Family was always the most important concern for Ken and he will be greatly missed by his family, friends and co-workers at the Winnipeg Free Press. Ken was an avid outdoorsman, loved hiking, fishing, being in the mountains, and at the lake. Ken also loved basking in the California sun. Ken was a kind and gentle man, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. The family would like to thank Palliative Care at Riverview Health Centre for their great care and compassion during Ken's brief stay. We would also like to thank the home care team, the ALS Society, and the many friends, family and neighbours who were so supportive. Cremation has taken place and as were Ken's wishes, no formal funeral will be held. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Ken's life will take place at a later date.
