CATHERINE JAMES (née WARCIMAGA) It is with heavy hearts the family of Catherine James announces her sudden passing on February 4, 2018, at the age of 61. Cathy is survived by her daughter Jessica, her granddaughter and pride and joy, Ava, her brothers Brian (Darlene), Ron (Karen) and Ted (Jenelle), sisters Perry-Lynne (Jerry) and Margaret (Dwayne), nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Cathy knew a lot of people. You could not go anywhere with her, without her bumping into someone she knew. Upon bumping into them, she always made time to stop and have a chat with them. Cathy enjoyed her exercise and information classes in her building. She enjoyed the bus tours to the Forks and the Festival of Lights, the BBQs and dinners with fellow tenants and especially when Elvis was in the building. Cathy was an avid reader and spent many hours at the library. You could find her there many Saturday afternoons with her granddaughter, Ava. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society or Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation.
