SOPHIE ZAHRANCHEK (nee KICENKO) October 15, 1923 - February 4, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sophie at the Health Sciences Centre on February 4, 2018 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by her parents, sister Francis, brother Ed, her husband John (Jack) in 1984, and her son Dana in 1992. Sophie is survived by her daughter Tammy (Kim), grandchildren Steven, Jes (Dave) and Courtney (Thierry), great-grandchildren Cole, Jasmine, Jaiden, Nate and Alexis, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom lived all of her life in Winnipeg working various jobs which included being a milk delivery lady and one of the first female taxi drivers. She enjoyed spending weekends with her family at the cabin. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street. Interment to follow. Pallbearers are Tom Fryza, Kevin Kauk, Dave Bosshart, Thierry Huberdeau, Cole Huberdeau and Nate Bosshart. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
