ROBERT IMMANUEL MEYERS July 1, 1944 Winnipeg, Manitoba January 21, 2018 Mission, BC Left to mourn are his wife Carolyn in Mission, BC, brother Jerry (Sue) in California, sons, Robert (Teresa) and David (Lori), and granddaughters, Helena and Margaret, all in BC. Predeceased by mother Margaret in 1992 and father Immanuel in 2001. Extremely extroverted, tremendously charismatic, always the life of the party. He enjoyed a large circle of loyal friends. A lifelong career in sales, where he was invariably number one, combined with a spirit of adventure, brought him from Manitoba to California, back to Manitoba, Saskatchewan, settling in British Columbia in 1975. He upgraded his education by taking marketing programs at BCIT that same year, further advancing him in his successful sales career. The love of the ocean that lured him to California and eventually BC, had him study for and become a certified skin diving instructor (PADI) in 1976. Not one to let the moss grow on him, and again due to a love of the ocean, he took the Power Squadron course in 1980 and was certified in boating safety. Soon after, he purchased a 26' pleasure boat which he enjoyed for several years. Once again that successful sales career that he worked hard at afforded him early semi-retirement and allowed him to enjoy his hobby farm in Mission, BC, travel to Quebec, Mexico, Greece, etc. Pictured are (left to right) brother Jerry, father Immanuel, Robert Immanuel, Winnipeg, 1955.
