DARLENE GAIL KEHLER (HART)
Born: Nov 27, 1946
Date of Passing: Feb 09, 2018
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDARLENE GAIL KEHLER (nee HART) Passed away on February 9, 2018, daughter of Cecil and Isabel Hart, born in Winnipeg on November 27, 1946. Darlene was surrounded by a big, loving family all her life. She is survived by her husband, Larry Kehler; her children, Heather (Greg Thompson) and Grant Hildebrand (Caroline); and her grandchildren, Zachary, Dylan and Trinity; and their dog, Izzy. She will be profoundly missed by her siblings, Don (Marti), Gord (Bev), Jack (Heather) and Joyce; as well as her in-laws, Molly, Don (Lynn) and David (Elley), and the many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. She was predeceased by her brother Reg Hart (Alice). Darlene was devoted to her family. It was nothing for her to jump in the car and drive to Alberta or British Columbia if any of her relatives needed a helping hand or an ear to listen, as she would do anything for those dear to her. She was the den mother to countless teenagers when the kids were winding their way through junior high and high school in St. James, opening her house as a place for the kids to congregate. She and Larry also spent many wonderful hours with a myriad of dogs over the years, training them in the sport of Fly Ball. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at the Concordia Hospital Oncology ward for bringing dignity to Darlene's last days. A date will be set for a Celebration of Life for Darlene in the spring, where close friends and family are invited to share stories and memories. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that donations be made to the Vasculitis Foundation at www.vasculitis.ca. I will miss Darlene, we shared so many things during our lifetime. She was a happy person and very special. We did so many things together and got in lots of trouble when we were young but we had lots of good times together too. She had a very strong love for animals. My condolences to Larry and family. - Posted by: Gail Suddards (cousin) on: Feb 17, 2018

Darlene was always so cheerful and fun to be around. Her bubbling personality always made you feel you could accomplish anything. We are so sad to her of her passing, but grateful we got to share in a small portion of her life. Prayers to Larry and all the family. - Posted by: John and Denyse Bourre (Friend ) on: Feb 17, 2018

We want to send our deepest condolences to you Larry and your family . Darlene had some tough years with her health and you gave her tremendous help and support. I always enjoyed being around Darlene. She had an infectious smile and a great sense of humor. When Darlene brought her car into my shop for service she made it easy to talk and joke about any subject. Larry you are not alone in this time of your loss, we are all her for your support .
