JOHN FRANK TOMCHUK It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of John Frank Tomchuk, on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. John was born August 30, 1953, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He started his work career in transportation, and moved on to be the first General Manager at the Saskatoon Soccer Centre. Later he turned his attention to Big John's Sound Service and was the D. J. devoted to bringing you the "Music of your Life." John had a passion for fishing and was a lifelong member of the Saskatoon Aquarium Club. He devoted a lot of his time volunteering for his community, promoting and coaching youth soccer. John is predeceased by his father Frank Tomchuk. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Clara (Jacobson); his loving wife, Shirley (Grenier); children: Lisa (Frank), Bonnie, Jay (Jamie); grandchildren: Mason, Parker, Ethan, Liam and Laiklyn; and great-grandchildren: Chea and Alice. He is also survived by his sister Cathy (Barry); children: Ryan (Dana), Kyle (Janinne) and Leanne. His brother James (Angie); children: Travis and Jordan. A private family service is being planned.
