E. MAE HARRIOTT Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, auntie and friend. Mom passed away at the age of 98 on Monday, February 12, 2018. Mom was predeceased by her husband Tom in 1992; the love of her life she often told me; and her son Ken in 2010. Left to treasure her memory is her daughter Cheryl (Bill) and their family: Tom (Kristy), children: Jaxon and Karis, Jason (Kelly); son Erick, daughter-in-law Susan, family: Angela (Kevin), Tim (daughters: Laura, Payton granddaughter: Ariana); Bonus daughters Andie, Darlene, Mary-Lou, Cheryl, Linda; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. For many years Mom was an active partner in Aglow, travelling to conferences in Canada and the US. Mom and Dad spent their winters in Palm Springs and our families also got to spend part of the winters in the sunshine, too. We have so many happy memories of our adventures. Summers were spent at Gull Lake and so many more memories added up in the 69 years we were there. Mom, as many of you know, was an avid shopper and Mom was always welcomed with a smile in many Winners. They were in awe that Mom was so independent and when she paid for her purchases, she didn't walk away until she was sure she got the right change! She always had a beautiful smile for everyone and the light of the Lord shone through her. She was a true inspiration to all that met her and she will be forever loved and remembered. Mom will be laid to rest beside Dad at a later date. Celebration of Mom's life is on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire donations in Mae's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Mom, I feel so blessed to be your daughter. Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • 68 Years ago we became acquainted as it were. Little did we know our friendship would become what it became. So much to say, so little space. Our a.m. and p.m. quick check-ins, your smile, laughter, love of Dogs, SHOPPING, compassion, generosity and kindness are going to be missed more than you would ever think. Miss and Love you Mom. Love Always, Darlene - Posted by: Darlene Newman (Bonus Daughter) on: Feb 20, 2018

  • Was sorry to read of your Mom's passing. Mae always had a very welcoming smile any time you saw her. I remember Tom saying how she and Cheryl would shop one day and return the next. She lived a very full life and you'll have many happy memories to look back on. - Posted by: Bernice Heinrichs (friend and old business aquaintance) on: Feb 17, 2018

  • May you find comfort during this sad time from the love of family and friends. Our condolences to all. Don and Janet Kuhlman - Posted by: Janet Kuhlman (friend of family) on: Feb 17, 2018
