Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • When I was 16 I was introduced to Kathy & El. I had met Kelly in high school and she introduced me to her parents, right from the start there was always a feeling of being part of the family that was the way it was with the Hancox family. Kathy was like a second Mom to me she always had a wonderful sense of humor and she loved life. She always could put a smile on my face and I felt to lucky to have known both Kathy and El for so many years they were great parents and family was always number one to them. She will deeply missed and fondly remembered. Rest in Peace you never be forgotten. - Posted by: Lynne McGibney (Friend of the family) on: Mar 09, 2018

  • I found an Irish poem and dedicate it to My Mom: Half-Walking I thought it was the little bed I slept in long ago; A straight white curtain at the head, And two smooth knobs below. I thought I saw the nursery fire, And in a chair well-known My mother sat, and did not tire With reading all alone. If I should make the slightest sound To show that I’m awake, She’d rise, and lap the blankets round, My pillow softly shake; Kiss me, and turn my face to see The shadows on the wall, And then sing Rousseau’s Dream to me, Till fast asleep I fall. But this is not my little bed; That time is far away; With strangers now I live instead, From dreary day to day. By William Allingham Love you Mom miss you every day and am glad you are with Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Dodo, Auntie Joyce and Auntie Fay Just know we are taking good care of Dad like we promised.
