Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBARBARA LOY KUPPERS July 9, 1937 - February 12, 2018 After a very hard fought battle, it is with great sadness and very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. She leaves behind her two sons, Howard Saunders (Andrea) and Brian Saunders (Jeannette), daughter-in-law Marie Saunders and her sister Leanne Einarson. Nanny, also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Jessica (Jordan), Ryan, Tyler (Karla) and Shaelynn, two great-grandchildren, Klara and William and granddoggie, Charlie. Barb was predeceased by her mother Sadie Beauregard (Muzzy), first husband Cecil Saunders, son Gary Saunders and second husband George Kuppers. Barb was born in Winnipeg and lived there the majority of her life, except for her several years living in Belair, Manitoba where Barb and George had built their home, enjoying the relaxed life at the cottage. Barb was witty with a great sense of humour, even laughing at her own jokes. She enjoyed time with her many loyal friends, card nights were always a fun highlight. She loved to travel south in the winter with her husband George. She was an avid NFL fan, enjoying several hours on Sundays watching the games. One of her favourite things was going to the casinos to play slots, always hoping for that big win. She loved family gatherings when her "little family" was all together enjoying good food and many laughs. We will miss her dinners and great cooking, her meals were always something everybody looked forward to. Rest in peace Mother, you were truly, "one of a kind". We know you are watching over all of us. Don't you worry, we will take care of everybody here and we will see you again one day in the future. Rest in peace Nanny, "you were one of the smartest ladies we've ever known". We would like to thank Dr. D. Johnson and all the wonderful staff at the Concordia Hospital for the loving care they provided to our mother. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place, there will be no church service however there will be a private family graveside service to be held at a later date.

So sorry to hear that Barb has gone. I hope she gets to have more happy hours with George in the cabin in the sky. She was a character. - Posted by: Sally Brodrick (Friend) on: Mar 06, 2018

Even though I had been divorced from her son for a number of years, Barb always introduced me to her friends as her daughter-in-law. It made me happy to know that she still thought of me as family. She was always good to me and cared about how I was faring in life. When my son Ryan and her were together it was always entertaining. Ryan loved his Nanny even when he did not see her much in the last years. I speak for Ryan too when I say how sad it is that she was taken so soon and in such a manner. Rest in peace, Barb. We will see you again one day. - Posted by: Dorothy Meads () on: Feb 28, 2018

Our sincere condolences to all. Barb will be greatly missed. A big memory I have is when both are families spent summer vacation at Clear Lake. - Posted by: Sandy and Larry Lemay (Godmother/family ) on: Feb 24, 2018
