DAVID COLIN JACK KOEHLER It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father and grandfather, David Colin Jack Koehler, of Winnipeg, MB, at Riverview Health Centre on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the age of 73 years. Left to cherish David's memory are his children, Christine (Dwayne) and Jamie (Margaret); grandchildren, Lily, Peter, and Edward; stepchildren, Melody (Cliff) and Brad (Christie); stepgrandchildren, Amber, Matt, Chelsea, Ryan, and Ava; and stepgreat-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Betty; parents, William and Ida; and sister Jane. David loved his '50s and '60s rock music. He was always quick to turn any sentence you would say into a song lyric. David would spend hours listening to his old records, a past time that he shared with his wife Betty. As per David's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family interment will be held at a later date. A special thanks to Steve, Melaine, Herbie, Brad and Marylin for supporting David over the past year, and to all who visited him over the last few weeks. Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • David I will always think of you, we were cousins but more like brothers. I will miss the great conversations about sports and life in general. Miss you my friend - Posted by: Garry Arnst (Cousin) on: Mar 21, 2018

  • It is with great sadness and my deepest condolences to the family and friends who were closest to David. He was my dad’s cousin and I have so many great and fun memories of David and my dad. He was like a uncle and friend to me. I spent lots of time with him growing up. I mostly remember listening to music and playing trains. His two passions in life. I loved music and trains, so our relationship was a great match. I loved David for the time we spent together and his home and heart was always open to me. The world has lost a fun and creative person who always enjoyed life and lived his passions. In the spirt of David...May the good Lord shine a light on you...Rolling Stones Lyric. - Posted by: Darrell Arnst (Second Cousin) on: Mar 08, 2018

  • My condolences to David's family. He was a true, caring gentleman. I worked with David for many years at Winnipeg Motor Express. My favourite memory is when Burton Cummings came to speak with me. When David found out he came straight to my desk to talk with him. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Keep your memories close. - Posted by: Gina Prystupa (Former co-worker) on: Feb 24, 2018
