CHESTER STEWART It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father Chester Stewart. Chester lived a full and happy life leaving us in his 97th year. He was predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy of 69 years and his beautiful granddaughter Jodie. He will be lovingly remembered by his sons Glenn and Carmen (Chad & Mir) (Troy & Trish), Dave and Carol (Sean & Erin) (Brett & Sara), Don and Barb (Tammy & Kelly) (Scott & Marcella) (Tori & Nicole), great-grandchildren (Brady & Brooklyn) (Mia & Max) (Makayla & Ophelia) (Tyler & Tru) (Sophia & Chloe) (Alyssa & Mason) (Carl & Keira). Chester farmed for 50 years in the Dominion City area. He also drove school bus for years, which he really enjoyed. He met many great kids over the years. In his early years he played baseball. He remained lifelong friends with many of his team mates. In his late 60's he took up golfing, which he loved. He enjoyed many years of golfing with great friends, young and old. He had such a big heart and a great love for all his family and friends. Chester's trademark was his thumbs up to his friends and staff at the care home. He enjoyed all sports, watching his boys, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and neighbours. Chester loved going to the Craft Club for coffee every day. He enjoyed his visits with the coffee club crew. Grandpa loved his drives. When he was in the care home the boys would take him to the old farm site then to Dominion City. He also loved the company of his dear Bruno. We would like to thank the wonderful staff in the Emerson Care Home. You were all so good to Chester and he appreciated all of you. So sorry to hear of the passing of Chester. He was my bus driver for years and was always so kind and friendly. Always had a smile and a kind word. Dorothy was also my teacher at Dominion City School and I loved being in her class. Such lovely people and I will always remember them fondly. Deepest sympathy to your whole family. - Posted by: Jennifer Stefanchuk (was a student on his school bus) on: Mar 01, 2018
