Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL (MIKE) EGAN June 15, 1933 - February 22, 2018 Peacefully, with his family at his side, "Mick" was reunited with the love of his life "Patsy". We are profoundly saddened by his loss but thankful for the memories of his life. He was predeceased by his parents May-Rose and Philip Egan, and his wife Patricia. Mike is survived by his sister Maureen, brother Philip, his children Terry (Brigitte), Michael (Karen), Tina (Kevin) and Stephen (Evelyn). Also morning his loss are his grandchildren Terry (Andrea), Jeremy, Wren (Keragh), Michelle (Jay), John, Kurtis (Kristine), Michael and Jennifer, along with great-grandchildren Daniel, Tyson, James and Sean, sister-in-law Penny (Karr), nieces and nephews Peter, Paul, Chris (Rachid), Susie and their children Naima, Youssef, William. Mike was born in Southend on Sea, England and immigrated to Canada in 1958 settling in Winnipeg with his family and spending the last 32 years in Stony Mountain. He operated a successful masonry contracting business until his retirement. He was an accomplished boxer and dart player. Mike loved hunting, fishing, soccer, playing cards, doing puzzles and spending time at his cabin at Lake St. George. The family would like to thank Dr. K. Graham, Brittney, Lindsay and all the wonderful staff at Appleyard Bay, Rosewood Lodge for their care and compassion during Dad's time there. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Manitoba Wildlife Federation.
