Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE KUZMASKI (nee DUFF) Born February 13, 1936 in Glasgow, Scotland, died February 28, 2018 in Alliston, Ontario after a brief illness. Beloved wife of 42 years to Jerry; loving sister to Elizabeth (David), Margaret (Jim) and June (David). Delightful and devoted aunt to numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Roseanne and James, and brother Jim (Anne). Rose lived life to the fullest. Her early years were spent in Glasgow playing, studying hairdressing and getting into numerous high jinx with her siblings - especially her identical twin Margaret. Stories of the Duff twins were legend. Rose was an accomplished hairdresser and always turned out in the latest fashions. A trip to Canada to visit her brother allowed for fate to bring her into the arms of Jerry - the love of her life for more than 40 years. Rose and Jerry delighted in each other's company and you could feel the love between them in their presence. The ever fashionable Scottish Rose found life in Thompson, Manitoba with Jerry a wonderful adventure. A successful career at Inco as one of the first female lab technicians rounded out her many accomplishments. Somehow Rose managed to make a parka look good. Rose had a passion for travel and she and Jerry enjoyed Bentley tours, trips to the UK, and innumerable visits south. Jerry and Rose seemed to pick up friends in all their travels as they drew people to the fun they were creating. Rose will be remembered as the consummate hostess and life of the party. Rose will be sorely missed by her loving family and many wonderful friends. The family expresses sincere appreciation for the kind care Rose received at Stevenson Memorial Hospital and Matthews House. Donations to Matthews House or another charity of your choice would be warmly appreciated. A service will be held at Thomas Funeral Home in Alliston at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018 with a Celebration of Life immediately following.
