SCOTT NEWSOM May 29, 1993 - March 6, 2013 Scott wrote in his journal in 2011: "All I can do is my best. If that's not good enough for people, then so be it. I want to love without fear, and sometimes love requires risk." Also from Scott's journal, there is a note in which it seems God is speaking to Scott: "Keep your focus. Come to Me and I will do the rest. I love you more than you can understand." Scott sang at Easter 2012: "Let no one caught in sin remain inside the lie of inward shame. We fix our eyes upon the cross and run to Him Who showed great love. . . Christ is risen from the dead, trampling over death by death. Come awake! Come awake! Come and rise up from the grave! O death! Where is your sting? Oh, hell, where is your victory? Oh church, come stand in the light! The glory of God has defeated the night!" from "Christ Is Risen" by Matt Maher.
