Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERALDINE GAIL (GERRIE) BANNATYNE (nee CLEMENT) December 3, 1938 - February 21, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandma and sister. Gerrie passed away peacefully on February 21, 2018 at the Grace Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Ralph and Gytha Clement, husband Bob Bannatyne, daughter Jamie, her brother Bill Clement, and brother-in-law Maurice Lannoo. Gerrie leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Robbie (Patsy), Kim, Garth (Lisa), Lisa and Shane; grandchildren, Sean, Brett, Mara, Jessi, Jenni, Rory, Jorja and Rylan; sisters, Joan Lannoo and Jill (Greg) Paskewitz, brother John Clement, and sister-in-law Debbie Clement, as well as many extended family and friends. Born December 3, 1938, Gerrie grew up in Charleswood where she attended Chapman School and then graduated from MIT. After school Gerrie worked at Eatons and in 1956 married Bob, together they raised their six children. Faced with some of life's unfair challenges, Mom persevered to raise her family. Unconditional love is what our mom gave to us - we were all her favourite. Although we wish for just a little more time, your wings have arrived. We will always love you and miss you deeply. A celebration of Gerrie's life will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary Anglican Church, 3830 Roblin Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Schizophrenia Society of Manitoba or charity of choice.
