Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDIANE MAE CLAYDON (nee TATARYN) August 6, 1942 - February 25, 2018 It is with profound heartbreak and sadness that we announce the passing of Diane after a brief battle with cancer. Diane was born and raised in an off-grid home on a small farm in Skylake, in Manitoba's Interlake. She moved to the big city when she was 17 and in 1967 married Bill, her husband of 50 years. Diane worked at McGeachie & Holdsworth Jewellers before starting a family and went back to work part-time at McDiarmid Lumber and Winners once her children were teens. Her most important job, the job she enjoyed the most and excelled at was being a mom and grandma. Diane loved her family and was a devoted wife, mom, grandma, sister, daughter and friend. She would do anything for those she loved. Diane loved travelling in the winter and spending time at the Star Lake cabin in the summer. She felt at home in the woods and enjoyed foraging with Dad for berries and wild mushrooms, which she would turn into delicious treats for the family. Diane is survived by husband Bill; daughter Kerry; son Curtis (Lorrie); granddaughters Hailey, Somer and Brooke; son-in-law Bruce Huynen; sister Irene Bechert (Eric); sister Barbara Cooke (Gord); sister-in-law Johanna Tataryn; brothers-in-law James (Edna) and Harry Claydon and their families; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. She was predeceased by her daughter Tracy Huynen, father Anthony Tataryn, mother Stella Rozak and brother Elmer Tataryn. A celebration of Diane's life will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway 1 East at Navin Road, on Saturday, March 10 at 2:00 p.m.

We are so sorry to hear about Diane's passing. Our sincerest condolences to all of the family. We enjoyed Diane and Clay visiting with us and able to bring Aunt Stella for a visit too. Bill and Shirley loved their company and Dad loved sharing his tomatoes with them! I actually remember being at Diane and Bill's wedding, I was just 7 years old - Cousin Karen. Shirley and Bill enjoyed being at Curtis' wedding also and being reunited with all of the family. - Posted by: Shirley (Bill) Sysak, Elaine, Marlene, Karen and Brad (Diane's Uncle Bill; Diane's Mom, Stella's brother Bill) on: Mar 08, 2018
