SHIRLEY DIANE JOHNSON (nee OGSTON) August 23, 1944 - February 28, 2018 Peacefully, on February 28, 2018, Shirley passed away at home with her beloved husband of 55 years, Phil, by her side. Left to mourn her passing are her daughters, Jill, Jodi (Jim), son Jay (Aretha) , sister Johanne, grandchildren Kayl, Shei, Liam, Kira, Jed, Melanie (Hayden), Phillip (Kristen) and great grandchildren Taylor and James. Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Jock and Evelyn Ogston and brother-in-law Elian. Shirley was never happier than when she was surrounded by family, friends and her beloved animals. All the neighborhood children gathered at Shirley's home and everyone knew to call her if they ever needed anything. Shirley loved her time at the family cottage which always had an open door for friends and family to stop by or stay over. Truly an amazing woman who always extended a caring hand with a loving heart, she will be forever loved and missed by many. The family would like to extend a personal thank you to her home care staff and her nephew Jeff who was always available to help both her and Phil. As per her wishes cremation has taken place with a private family interment. If so desired, donations in Shirley's memory can be made to the charity of your choice. No longer in any pain, Shirley now has her wings and is at peace in God's arms.
