Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOUGLAS WAYNE BOGASKI May 2, 1956 - March 2, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas (Doug) Bogaski. He always loved travelling and exploring, and this Friday, after a beautiful day on the ski trails, he continued his travels without us. He will be joining his parents, Olga and Gustave Bogaski, as well as his mother-in-law Doris Oneschuk, and father-in-law Jack Campbell. He will be missed by his loving wife Lynn Bogaski, his adoring daughters Talia, Deanna, Kaitlin and Jenelle, and his big brother and sisters Jack Bogaski (Nancy), Donna Panasis (Doug) and Sandi Smith. He will also be remembered by the mother of his children, Elaine Grymonpré, his stepsons Brian, Eric, and Micheal, stepdaughter Kayla, his beloved grandchildren Amiera and Kaden, and many other relatives and friends. Doug loved his family and friends, and took great joy in his children and grandchildren. He also loved nature, cigars, the Bombers, and art. He was an expert DIY handy-man and one of the first individuals in Winnipeg to own an Apple computer. In addition he was a great fisherman, golfer, excellent soccer player and an extraordinary storyteller. One of the first coaches of women's soccer in Manitoba, Doug helped bring the sport to its current significance. He graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts, and was recently named one of the best figurative artists in Canada. He retired from the City of Winnipeg in 2014 to relieve chronic back pain and pursue the activities that brought him joy. His many wonderful skills and talents left us too soon. A Celebration of Life will be held at Heartland Community Church on April 21 in Landmark, MB from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doug's name to: The School of Art Endowment Fund, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or to West Broadway Youth Outreach. I would like to send my condolences and prayers to Doug's family and friends. Doug and I worked together at the City of Winnipeg many years ago and had many laughs together, he was quite the character and he sometimes was a little excitable. Doug loved and adored his family. May you rest in peace my freind. - Posted by: Darren Pawich (Work freind) on: Mar 11, 2018
