STACEY DON MCALPINE Bridge over Troubled Water and John Lennon were favs of Stacey McAlpine, born June 6, 1963, who passed away peacefully from a heart attack, at home on March 5, 2018. "Imagine all the people" whom he deeply loved: like his daughters, Jennifer, Melanie, Nicole, Amy and their mom Diane. "It's easy if you try" to feel the love shared with his dad Gerald/Gerry, mom Eugenia/Jeanie, sisters, Deb, Cheryl Miller, Laura, and faithful companions, Kai, Scout. "No hell below us" because he blessed the lives of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, Te-Greg, Sam - Laila Grace Miller, Alan, from his large extended family biological and chosen, and his true friends who stuck by him through thick and thin. "Above us only sky" where he continues to be grateful for the next path prepared by brother-in-law Greg. "Imagine all the people" like Rev. Deborah Murray, Devarshi, Dr. Burnell, Dr. Johnson, Dr. Jones, Matt, Brad, Bruce, Darin, Jake, Gus and the wonderfully supportive friends at Sturgeon Creek United Church. "Living life in peace" because "the human spirit is stronger than anything that happens to it. "Aha - ah . . . you may say I'm a dreamer", who loved music, movies, mountains, fishing, coaching, jumping off the dock, all sports (although luge is a bit too intense). "But I'm not the only one" who believes in the power of faith. "I hope one day you'll join us", though he's not a fan of the limelight, know that in business, he went through fire and rain for his clients, who were more like family. "Where the world will live as one", sharing Stacey's firm belief that God has a plan: Mark 5:36 "Do not be afraid, only believe". Imagine . . . A small, private family send off has taken place. Public celebration May 28, 1:30 p.m. Sturgeon Creek United Church, Winnipeg, MB. Canada. Video requests: inmemoryofstaceymcalpine@gmail.com. No donations, online or otherwise. Stacey was a great friend of mine in High school. We were the most unlikely of friends, but somehow we just connected. He was funny, caring, generous, and loyal. He was so kind to my sister(Carol) and I, and we shared a lot of wonderful times together, lots of laughs! We lost touch after high school, but I have thought of Stacey often. I am so saddened by the news of his passing, and have reflected back fondly on our time together. I am sure he is dearly missed by all. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, and daughters. - Posted by: Norma Bruce Ritchie (High school friend) on: Apr 27, 2018

My sister, Norma, and I were very saddened to hear of Stacey’s passing. Norma and I have such fond memories of both our friendships with Stacey. In the mid to late 70’s, Stacey was a fixture at our apartment, standing in for a brother who moved to Montreal with our parents. My friendship with Stacey continued into the 80’s after Norma moved out of province. Stacey was kind and generous to Norma and I and many laughs were had. Upon hearing Stacey passed away, Norma and I recently had tears and laughter as we went down memory lane, sharing stories of our time with Stacey. I offer my sincere condolences to Stacey’s parents, sisters and his daughters. May you be at peace now Stacey. - Posted by: Carol Bruce (Sturgeon Creek Regional Secondary School/Bruce Junior High Friend) on: Apr 21, 2018

So sorry to hear of Stacey's passing. I have lots of memories from highschool, university, and early married days with skiing, curling, dancing, and lots of laughs! I remember he orchestrated a dance 'contest' in the basement with everybody dancing off with strobe lights thinking there was a stay at a hotel as a prize.... he was a fun guy to have as a friend and will be missed by many. My condolences to his family. May you all find peace in your faith of God's greater plan for all of us. - Posted by: Diane Vice nee Bell (Friend) on: Mar 18, 2018
