ROLAND JOSEPH BONIN October 28, 1931 - March 7, 2018 With great sadness we announce the passing of Rollie Bonin on March 7, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Wanda, daughters June, Tracy (Peter) and Darcy (Ellie), grandchildren Giulia, Nella, Nicholas (Sara), Thomas (Madelaine), Matthew (Grace), and great-grandchildren Logan, Grace, Griffin and Benjamin; also siblings Denis (Jane), Sister Lucille, Father Edouard, Ernest (Lise), Marina (Jean), Renald (Susan), Alain (Elise) and Laurence (Mike), as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Rollie was born in Marchand, Manitoba. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being in the outdoors. In his younger days he enjoyed playing baseball and was a fan of the Blue Jays. Rollie enjoyed playing crib, had a great sense of humour and loved spending time with family. The family would like to thank the staff on the third floor of the Concordia Hospital for the compassionate care they gave to Rollie. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made in Rollie's name to your charity of choice. Services to be held at Blessed Sacrament Church located at 710 Roanoke Street in Transcona on March 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
