Born: Jun 07, 1929
Date of Passing: Mar 08, 2018
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAY PATTERSON (nee IRVINE) Born: June 7, 1929 Date of passing: March 8, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom and Gramma. On March 8, 2018, following a stroke, Mom slipped peacefully away. Left to forever cherish May's memories are her three children, Mark, Kelly (Walter), Scott (Rayanna); as well as her much loved grandson Mackenzie and dear friends. May was predeceased by her parents, Daniel and Mary; and her three siblings, Jimmy, George and Muriel. May worked many years in the Premier's office at the Manitoba Legislative Building, as well as the Executive Council and Protocol Office. She was a gentle and beautiful soul who was loved and respected by everyone who met her. Mom loved to travel and after her retirement, moved to Vancouver. Mom loved her long walks along English Bay near her home. Although we all hoped for a little more time with Mom, her wings have arrived. Cremation has taken place and is to be followed by a private Celebration of Life at a later date.

May was such a beautiful soul. I had the good fortune of working with her over the years and spent many a fun lunch or evening dinner with her. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was blessed with such grace and integrity. God bless all of you at this difficult time and take comfort in knowing your mother has met the face of God during this Lenten Season - a very special time indeed. - Posted by: Darlene Hoffman (Former co-worker) on: Mar 13, 2018

I worked with May over thirty years ago in one of my first jobs. We went out a few times, and she invited me to her home. What I have always remembered about her is her kindness to me. I am very sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Margaret (Former co-worker) on: Mar 12, 2018

Sincere condolences to May's family. I had the pleasure of knowing and working with May at the Manitoba Legislative Building for many years. She was one of those rare individuals who was liked and respected by all who knew her. - Posted by: Dwight MacAulay (Co-worker, friend) on: Mar 11, 2018
