Mr. Joubert was my teacher in grades 4 and 7 at Lloyd George Elementary in Kamloops. I am so sad to hear of his passing. He was always one of my favorite people. His belief in and support of his students was tremendous and he left a lasting impression on me. He will be greatly missed, but always remembered. - Posted by: Bobbi Rothenburger (Former student ) on: Feb 27, 2019

Gilles and I became friends in the 1970’s as we studied together (Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education) at the Collège St. Boniface. He was at that time seriously going out with Elaine. Later on after graduation Gilles and Elaine moved to BC and Gilles kept working as a teacher and then as an administrator. Gilles was always serious and dedicated to the profession. We lost touch after they moved to BC but I will always remember the good times we spent together studying, discussing different topics and having a beer. Rest In Peace my friend.
