Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWAYNE ALBERT WHEATON It is with sadness we announce the passing of Wayne Albert Wheaton, aged 68, of Amherst, NS. Wayne passed peacefully at home, on March 4, 2018. He was the son of the late Chesley and Ellen Wheaton of Amherst. Wayne is survived by his wife Karen (Copp), sister Deborah Ann Jones of Winnipeg, MB, nephews, Derrick and Devan Jones also of Winnipeg, MB as well as two aunts and numerous cousins throughout Canada. Wayne was a graduate of ARHS in Amherst, DeVry University in Toronto and CDI Institute in Winnipeg. He was employed by Northern Telecom for 28 years, taking him across Canada and into the U.S. After Northern, he worked in upper management for C-Mac Electronics. In his later years, he was employed in various call centres. His loves were spending time with his wife, working on his iPad, his cat and in his early years, boats and the building of them. He spent many a summer with his grandfather Otto Hatfield at his boat yard in Port Greville, NS. Wayne will be sadly missed by family and his many friends across Canada and in the U.S. Cremation has taken place under the care of Campbell's Funeral Home. As per Wayne's wishes, there will not be a service. Those wishing to make a donation in Wayne's memory, may do so to the local humane society or to a charity of your choice.
