MAGGIE STEVENS Peacefully, with her loving family by her side, on March 16, 2018 Maggie Stevens of Sagkeeng First Nation, Manitoba passed away at the age of 71. Maggie was predeceased by her parents George and Mary Guimond, her son Greg Guimond, her sister Louise "Mimi" Fontaine, brother Langford "Boyshum" Guimond, and in-laws Marie "Girlie" Guimond, Thomas Gillis and Norma "Dood" Guimond. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her husband Wesley; her children Kim (Thor) O'Laney, Wanda (Ken) Alexander and Shayne (Darian) Guimond; her grandchildren Gage, Junior, Tia, Athena, Sage, Shaylin, Syren, Morley, Ramsey, Johnny, Andrea and Dakota, great-niece Libby and great-nephews Manny and Grayson who she took as her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren Nathaniel, JJ and Drew; her siblings Lloyd (Arlene), Ron (Lorna), Patsy and Noreen (Larry); her in-laws Karen Guimond and Ron Fontaine; her aunt Theresa Swampy, and uncle Robert Courchene, as well as numerous relatives and friends. The family would also like to thank the Pine Falls Hospital staff who helped provide care and comfort to our mother. Wake Service was held at Maggie Stevens' residence at House 280 South Shore Road / Hwy. 11, Sagkeeng First Nation, MB from Saturday, March 17 to Monday, March 19, 2018. Funeral service was held at the St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church, Sagkeeng First Nation, MB on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., Father Augustine officiated. Interment will be held at a later date.
