MYROSLAWA (MARION) WILSON It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Myroslawa (Marion) Wilson on March 12, 2018 at Holy Family Home. Born on March 28, 1921 she enjoyed 96 years of life. Mom is survived by, and leaves to mourn, four remaining generations including her two sons Norman and David, three grandchildren Rob Wilson (Debra), Bonnie-Lynn Yanchycki (Erin) and Derek Wilson, five great-grandchildren Enya-Rae Wilson, Ashley-Joy (Josh) Burgess and daughter Cordelia, William Wilson (Allanah) and daughters Blair, Nyx and Kai, Victoria Wilson and son Benjamin, and Mathew Yanchycki, as well as good family friends Diane Janzen (John), Glenda Claeys (Roy) and Tracey Mitchell. She was predeceased by her husband Robert (Wib) Wilson in 2003, her parents, three sisters, and one brother. Mom was born in Hardesty, Alberta and moved to Winnipeg with her family when she was 16 years old. Here she met her future husband Robert (Wib) Wilson and they were married in 1944. Together they enjoyed their home and family for 59 years until his passing in 2003. Mom was of Ukrainian descent and enjoyed cooking Ukrainian Christmas dinners and having the family over to enjoy it with her. She also loved local history and was a volunteer at the Manitoba Museum of Man and Nature and received a reward for 31 years of dedicated service. Mom also loved spending time puttering around the house and enjoyed her backyard garden as well as family gatherings. She was grateful for every little thing that she had in her life. These are Mom's personal words of thanks written by her a couple of months ago: "I want to thank the following people for their help and services: - To all the TV and radio workers - thank you for bringing them to me - To all the workers for bringing the food to me - To all the workers for bringing the house and workers connected to me THANK YOU! THANK YOU GOD We would like to thank the staff at Holy Family Home for taking special care of Mom since January 2018, and the staff of Parkview Place since July 2017. Cremation has taken place and a private interment of ashes will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Museum where Mom volunteered for over 31 years. "All I ask of you is to forever remember me as loving you" To those I loved and those who loved me When I am gone, release me, let me go I have so many things to see and do But now it's time I travelled on alone So grieve a while for me if grieve you must Then let your grief be comforted by trust I won't be far away, for life goes on So if you need me, call and I will come Though you can't see me, or touch me, I'll be near And if you listen with your heart, You'll hear all of my love around you soft and clear And then, when you must come this way alone I'll greet you with a smile and say "Welcome Home".
