Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Margaret and I worked at CN, that is where we met many years ago, hung out my daughter used to tease her beloved cat Henry. She moved around many times after leaving CN, we kept in touch when we could, thru good and bad times. We had not seen each other in a long time but made sure to reach out for birthdays - the last time was when I sent her a picture of my granddaughter in early March and of course she was so happy. I just now found out on her birthday that she had passed in March, my heart is broken, my dear friend may you rest in peace. Those lucky angels now have the best baker ever up there. • Margaret I have been emailing and calling for days. Your phone is now disconnected. So I looked here and found where you have gone. I had not thought to get your sisters# from you. I guess we will not meet this summer as planned. I am sorry to have missed your hugs , humor and great cooking. Mostly your awesome humor. Well all of you ! 👼 You had been my best friend and although so much time and events had taken place we had hoped to reconnect. It is with great saddness I say farewell. I do hope you are at peace and know how much you are loved.💖 Joni Duff My condolences to her Family & Friends If at all possible could I be reached at (506)382-6833 or to know where Margaret will be interned. I met AnnMarie over 30 years ago now briefly. Although I no longer live in MTL. I have a son living there. It would be an honor to be able to stop and visit where Margaret will lay. Forever in my heart and again my sincere condolences. Joni - Posted by: Joni Duff (Friend) on: Apr 02, 2018

  • I volunteered with Margaret at Harbourfront Centre in Toronto, ON. She was a warm, loving, compassionate, generous friend. She was an excellent chef and baker, always willing to share what she created. She would enjoy coming to my church, Melrose Community Church, for our annual Christmas dinners. My heartfelt condolences to her sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Margaret loved you all, and spoke fondly of you. I was sad that she had to search for IT employment down South, and then out West, but I am happy that she passed away on Canadian soil. Blessings on the Memorial for Margaret at the end of March in Montreal. May she now rest in peace, and enjoy perfect health in Heaven. A fond farewell, dear Margaret!
