MARY KOHUCH August 17, 1930 - March 31, 2012 In memory of Mary, devoted wife, wonderful Mom and Baba, loving sister, aunt, and caring friend. Six years ago, everything changed. Until you lose a Mom, you cannot appreciate the hole that is left behind. Over time, you try to fill that hole with memories. You plant something different. A tree of a different sort. Something that will live but not in the traditional sense. You care deeply for this tree and you water it, often, with tears of grief and remembrance. You wait for it to grow tall, with branches that will provide shelter from Life's storms or shade from the glare of loss. And, you are grateful that you have something to nurture. You taught us everything we need to know about nurturing, Mom, and we tend to the tree of your memory with gratitude. We get together and reminisce. Pictures bring some comfort. A phrase can bring a smile whether "Put up your Hoood" or "You Bet I Kissed Him." A recording or a recipe can always bring us . . . home. We hear the sounds like voices in hallways Distant but something draws us near. Sounds of our past like Love lasting always Patches of Life, simple truths Carry us home . . . Thank you Mom for loving Dad and all of us. We were so very blessed. You live in our hearts. Vichnaya Pamyat. May your memory be eternal. Remembered always, the "Kohuch" kids and grandkids.
