SUZANNE (SUSAN) HILDA MCCASKILL It is with great sadness that the family of Susan McCaskill announces her passing after a brief illness, on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at the age of 87 years. Susan will lovingly be remembered by her children, Wayne (Suzy) and Keith (Grace). She will also be fondly remembered by her six grandchildren, Ken, Rob (Amanda), JP (Brynne), Dawn (Colin), Sheena and John; by five great-grandchildren, Kalen, Paschence, Thai, Jase and Cassidy; two great-great-grandchildren, Serenitee and Justin and by her lifelong best friend Beatrice Player. Susan was predeceased by the love of her life, Ken who passed in 1989. The family, although saddened by the loss of a very loved woman, are also happy to know that she is back together with Dad. She was a very strong and independent woman who devoted her life to her family. Susan also cared for others often buying and giving small items to them to make their day. She had many talents ranging from sewing and knitting to cake decorating, but the most important thing in her life was her family, always making sure to keep regular contact to ensure everyone was doing okay. A funeral service will be scheduled at a later date. The family would like to thank the residents and staff at the Waverley where Susan resided. Their caring and kind words as well as the staff's assistance at her time of need were greatly appreciated. The family would also like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Grace Hospital for their professional and caring manner when Susan and the family needed it most. Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Aunt Susan, mother’s younger sister, gave us our first puppy, Teddy, in 1963, while we were visiting from Ontario. She was always smiling, giving little gifts that made you smile, always encouraging. Although she is greatly missed, she will continue to put a smile on our faces and love in our hearts. Thank you aunt Susan, best wishes to your family, love from Wayne. - Posted by: Wayne Henshaw (Nephew ) on: Apr 15, 2018
