Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLUCILLE MILLER Peacefully, surrounded by family, on Saturday, April 7, 2018 Lucille passed away, at the age of 92, at Riverview Health Centre. Left to mourn her passing are her children, John (Cathy) Miller, Nancy (David) MacAngus and Thomas (Lauranne) Miller; grandchildren, Thomas (Karen) Miller, Erik (Jillian) Miller, Katey Miller, Callum (Meghan) MacAngus, Jane and Amy MacAngus, Michael (Jaclyn) Miller, Kari and Natali Miller; great-grandchildren, Madison Miller, Rhett Miller, Campbell and Annabell MacAngus, Georgia, Lucy and James Miller. Lucille is also survived by her sisters, Yvonne Mitchell, June Mayger and Beryl Robinson. She was predeceased by her husband Ephraim, and parents Archie and Olive McLean. Lucille was born February 3, 1926 in Brandon, Manitoba, grew up and went to school in Foxwarren and Douglas, Manitoba. Mom eventually moved to Winnipeg and soon after married Eph. That's when her true mission in life started, caring for her family and many others. Our mom and grandma guided and pampered us all, she couldn't say no when asked for help. Lucille was an incredible seamstress and gardener, if blueberry picking was an Olympic event she would have several gold medals. The bounty from these talents were always shared with family and friends. Certainly, many may still have berries in our freezers from a bumper crop in the 1980s (over 100 pounds). Lucille's last 18 months were spent at Riverview. The staff loved her and she loved them. Always concerned about her appearance, she wouldn't come out of her room for meals unless she was all done up, hair brushed, makeup on, complete with jewelry. Some staff and residents affectionately called her "Movie Star". She would laugh and say, "Oh go on". The family would like to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre for making her last months so special, as she made so many others feel. A memorial service celebrating Lucille's life will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street, followed by a gathering of family and friends. Flowers are gratefully declined, however, if you wish, donations may be made in memory of Lucille to the Riverview Health Centre Foundation, One Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4. E.J. Coutu & Co. I just became aware of Lucille's passing. I remember her fondly, as neighbours at Clearwater Bay, when I was a boy. She was always cheerful, welcoming and generous and a great cook! Dear John, Nancy and Tom please accept my heartfelt condolences at the loss of your Mum. Bless you all! - Posted by: Mark Davison (Friend) on: Nov 06, 2018

I miss her every day! The back and forth fun we used to have. Her kindness knew no bounds. Always asking how YOU were no matter how she was feeling. Her graceful manner is evident in her family. She was a trooper, always willing to try. My condolences to all of you! May all the happy memories you have help you through this difficult time.. - Posted by: Kara (Rehab assistant) on: Apr 14, 2018
