ANN MOROZ (nee MIKOLAJEK) In the early morning of Sunday, April 15, 2018, at 80 years of age, Ann Moroz passed away. Left to mourn her passing is Henry, her husband of 59 years, daughter Cindy (Mike), sons, Ray (Melanie), Bob (Christine) and Mike (Louise), grandchildren, Colin (Melissa), Jill (Erik), Andrew (Nicole), Ryan, Matt, Quinn, Cage, Kira, and great-grandson Brody. She will also be missed by her brothers, Charles, John and David (Betty) Mikolajek, in-laws Patricia, Stephie, Edward (Francis), Albert (Joyce) and Frank, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ann was born in Winnipeg on March 29, 1938. She grew up in Libau and the north end of Winnipeg. She worked at a sewing factory in Winnipeg and for a short time in Windsor, Ontario. When she returned to Winnipeg, she met and married Henry. Together they travelled, raised their family, co-ran Planet Construction, and built their dream house in St. Andrews where they hosted many family occasions. Mom loved to plan and plant a huge garden in St. Andrews. She froze and canned untold amounts of vegetables. She loved to make strawberry jam to give to her kids once they moved out on their own. Mom especially loved to cook Sunday lunch and dinner for her family after attending Mass. Many Sundays were spent playing cards at the kitchen table and sharing refreshments. Once they decided to move from St. Andrews to an apartment in Winnipeg, they were able to spend more winter weeks in Phoenix with Edward and Pat. Mom enjoyed Bingo where she could play many cards simultaneously while making sure one of us didn't miss a number on our own card. Trips to Vegas and Shooting Star were enjoyed for many years. The family would like to thank the staff at Maples Personal Care Home and River Ridge Retirement Residence for the loving care shown to Mom. The memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB, with viewing at 9:30 a.m. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenedenmemorial.ca Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery 204-338-7111

  • Dear uncle Henry. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved wife and my god mother. We were in Winnipeg last October and we saw aunty Ann in the hospital. We tried to get a hold of you by phone but were unable to talk to you. I have so many memories of aunty Ann listening to my complaints as a teenager and offering her great solutions to my teenage problems. I am sorry we have not been so close to your family once we moved to vancouver in 1970. Please remember that I do have fond wishes for all my cousins, aunts and uncles and especially you uncle Henry, you were always so funny. Love you all, Joann - Posted by: JoAnn nanson (Neice) on: Apr 22, 2018
