JOZEFA KUBICZ Peacefully on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 with family at her side, Jozefa passed away at the Holy Family Personal Care Home at the age of 91 years. Jozefa was predeceased by her husband, Stanislaw. She leaves to mourn her five children; Teresa (Rick) Wiebe, Ed (Almira) Kubicz, Chris (Dean) Juer, Irene (Blair) Waldvogel, and Tod (Brenda) Kubicz. "Babcia" was very fond of her 12 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and her great-grandchild with two more on the way. She will also be missed by extended family members living in Poland and her surviving friends. Jozefa was born November 13, 1926 in Pcim, Poland. In 1958, Jozefa met and married Stanislaw and soon after they moved to Winnipeg to start a new life. Jozefa stayed home with her children, but also held various part-time jobs throughout the years. She enjoyed baking, sewing, caring for her vegetable and flower gardens, fishing, picking blueberries and mushrooms, camping with her family, and watching her favourite TV shows. Jozefa very much enjoyed her visits from family and always had an apple pie waiting for anyone who stopped by. We all have many fond memories of her. Jozefa spent the last two years in the wonderful care of the Holy Family Personal Care Home. Special thanks to all the nurses, doctors and staff who provided such loving care. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 23, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Bobola Parish, 541 Marion Street. Father Sebastian Gacki will officiate. Viewing will be held 30 minutes prior to the funeral. Interment will be held at the Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4287 Main Street, after the service.
