Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN BROWN (nee MERKLEY) December 7, 1938 - April 23, 2018 Peacefully, after a lengthy illness in her 79th year. Jean, youngest of seven children, is predeceased by her parents, Ivy and Archibald Merkley and four siblings. She leaves to mourn her passing, her loving husband Richard, sons, Darryl (Michele) and Jason, her much loved grandsons, Liam and Colton, and her brother Brian. Jean spent all of her life in Winnipeg, marrying Richard in 1965 and settling in Charleswood. While Jean was always busy with various jobs and hobbies, her priority was always her family. She especially enjoyed spending her summers with her family at their cottage in Matlock. At Jean's request, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will take place on Wednesday, May 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Cemetery. The family would like to express their appreciation of the staff at Charleswood Care Centre for their compassion and care of Mom over the last year. Darryl, Michele and Family, I am so very sorry to hear of your moms passing. There are no words that will make this ease the pain, but please know I am thinking of you and wish I could be there to as you say good bye to a wonderful lady. I am only a phone call away.
