MARION FRANCES (FRAN) JEAN ROGERS (nee MACNEIL) 1920 - 2018 On April 28, 2018, just two months shy of her 98th birthday, we lost our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Fran Rogers. Fran is survived by her sons, Terry Simpson of Arnes, MB and Drew Simpson (Nancy) of Waterloo, ON; sister Irene Grieve (Drummond) of Oakville, ON; stepdaughters, Donna Jenkins (Derek), Terry Millar (Brian); stepson Bob Rogers; grandchildren, Lisa Atkins (Scott), Randy Simpson (Catherine), Candace Barnes (David), Ashley Simpson (Jacques), Marnie Rolt (Andrew), Shauna Simpson (Jonathan); and great-grandchildren, Emma, Aude and Finn; Kassidy and Wyatt; Braeden and Sadie; Hartley; Violet, Desmond and Gray Frances. Predeceased by sister Margaret (2005); grandson Craig Simpson (1988) and husbands, James A. Ringer (Jim) 1944, J. Earl Simpson (1979) and A. Kemmel Rogers (2009). Many thanks to the kind staff at The Wellington and caregivers at Grace Hospital, Deer Lodge and Tuxedo Villa. Special mention to stepson Bob Rogers, who faithfully visited Fran every Saturday morning for a lively chat; as well as niece Carey Vadeboncoeur and John Burnett, Ivy and Norm Bruneau and Patti Vadeboncoeur for their continuing visits and support. Mom loved to play bridge with her Wellington friends and they report she was pretty good at it! As per Fran's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I am so glad to have an opportunity to say how sad I was to hear of Fran's passing. She was a great companion to my Dad & a wonderful person in her own right. My condolences go out to both her her sons & their families. I also want to thank my brother Bob for being such a steadfast visitor to her. Ivy, also did a great job in years past. For the past many years I was only able to call her & she was so happy to hear my voice as I was calling from Panama, Central America. This was the easier way to keep in touch. So rest in Peace, my girl, we will all miss your wonderful, calm manner & wonderful upbeat attitude. Love Terry. - Posted by: Terry Miller (oldest step daughter) on: May 20, 2018
