WILLIAM ALEXANDER MILNER Sadly, on the evening of April 15, 2018, William Alex Milner of Oliver, BC formerly of Selkirk, MB, passed away at the age of 76 years old, after a brief battle with cancer. He is survived by Sandra Westop, his children, William (Shaun), David (Kim), Shelene and Todd (Sandy), his brother Gordon, sisters, Trudie and Fran, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was born in Winnipeg, MB July 21, 1941, the son of William and Gertrude Milner. Alex, as most would know him, spent many years driving bus for local Beaver Bus Lines, before moving on to the Winnipeg Transit System, until his retirement in July, 2002. He had the gift of gab. Always seemed to know somebody, and would always start a conversation wherever he went. This included Dryden, ON where he leaves behind many close friends, Wallace Lake, MB, and finally Oliver, BC, where he was involved with the Seniors Centre and community activities. Cremation has taken place, and a private ceremony with family and friends will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice. Special thanks to the staff of Penticton Hospital for their care and support.
