Our deepest sympathies to the family with the passing of Rose. Rose was such a friendly, generous and gracious person. My parents Leo and Marg Durand and their children ( Sharon, Lorraine and Rick) first met Rose and Frank when we moved onto Davidson Ave. in Dauphin, Manitoba 1958. As we were in process of finishing and moving into our new house Rose would frequently bring over gifts of fresh baking . The one I remember most was her fabulous chocolate cake. Rose was a magnificent baker. Since both my mom Marg and Rose were nurses at the Dauphin General Hospital, they immediately developed a wonderful relationship. Rose invited my little brother Ricky to play with Glenn and Alan , till my dad Leo came home from work, so mom could work evenings . During their time together in Dauphin they curled together in the farmers league and did very well at the local bonspiels. They socialized together at local dances and parties. After Rose and Frank moved to Winnipeg, they were both very gracious hosts and the fore some played cards till well after midnight. They were a very competitive group, the men challenging the women. We did visit Rose in the PCH but now my parents at ages 90 and 93 are themselves living in the PCH in Beausejour. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of tremendous loss.
