LYDIA PURGANAN (nee SAMERA) It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Lydia Purganan. Lydia found her eternal rest at 5:09 p.m., May 10, 2018, surrounded by her family. Lydia was born December 23, 1943 to parents, Susano and Fortunata Samera, in Mangatarem Panagasinan, Phillippines to a family of seven. She came to Canada June 30, 1969 as a garment worker with nothing but her dominating will and proceeded to bring her family over to begin a better life. She married Browle Purganan May 1, 1971, with whom she brought into the world four children. Besides her lifetime devotion to her family, Lydia worked over 20 years at St. Joseph's Residence and Sharon Home taking care of the elderly, retiring September 2, 2008. Lydia is dearly missed by her husband Browle; children, Edgar, Debbie (Rick), Vivian (Justin) and Bong; grandchildren, Jacob, Evan, Madelyn and Raiden; sisters, Lolita, Consuela and Elisabeth; brother Manuel and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Lydia joins her parents, brothers, Den and Napoleon and Ronald Purganan in God's kingdom. The family thanks all the staff at Concordia Hospital who took care of Lydia and her family. Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Lamay and funeral information to be announced.
