  • So sorry to hear of Dean’s passing. Deepest condolences to Helene and the rest of the family from Marie and I and the kids. I have fond memories of Dean as he was a close family friend ever since we were neighbours on Edderton in Fort Garry. Dean also played an important role in my life. I was taking Graphics Arts in 1969 and I recall Dean taking me aside at one of my parents famous parties and asking me what my plans were. He suggested I call Jack Berger and that was the beginning of my career in prepress and printing. A trade I am still in today. I’m glad I had the opportunity to tell him that when I phoned him a few months ago. Was an honor knowing him. Thanks Dean. - Posted by: Neil Mackie (Friend) on: May 17, 2018
