ROSS ALEXANDER MACIVER Born January 9, 1933 in Thunder Bay, ON to Pearl and Alex. Passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 peacefully, with his wife Diane by his side. He is survived by Diane, son Mark and Colleen MacIver (Alec, Matthew and Justin), daughter Kelly and Don Langford (Ryan, Josh, Hailey and Dee-jaye), daughter Kim and Wayne Bernshine (Shaun, Nick and Jared), son Kurt Breton (Noah), Nicole Preteau, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was an active member in the sports communities: a Winnipeg Blue Bomber Alumni, a two time World champion in Slopitch, and in Hall of Fames (Junior Football three times, Slopitch two times), formed and coached the National Basketball Team in Zambia. He worked 38 years at CNR and two plus years at CANAC. He saw the world through work, across Canada, US, Africa (Zambia, Kenya, Nigeria) and Sri Lanka. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 27 in the Pinnacle Room at the Bomber Stadium (IG Field). Donations to Kidney Foundation.
