PAUL JOSEPH MALEY September 3, 1934 May 17, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband and father, Paul Joseph Maley, aged 83, on May 17, 2018. He is survived by his loving and caring wife Loretta; son Grant (grandsons, Graham and Adam); and daughter Janet (Bruce). Predeceased by his father William; mother Dora; brothers, William, Allan, George, Edgar; and sister Della. Born in Estevan, Saskatchewan, where he joined Canadian Motorways Ltd. in 1955, he held various positions with the company throughout his 29 year career, and worked in Estevan, Winnipeg, Vancouver and Toronto. He was president from 1979 until 1985, when he left the company and joined Parkside Ford, where he worked until 1991. From there he joined Kindersley Transport Ltd., where he worked until retirement. Paul was an active participant in civic and business organizations throughout his working life. He held senior offices in both the Manitoba and Canadian Trucking Associations, Chairman of the Winnipeg Business Development Corporation, President of the Winnipeg Transportation Club and a director of Allied Van Lines Ltd. and Junior Achievement of Manitoba. Paul was a Sir Knight with Miles MacDonell General Assembly, and Past Grand Knight, St. James Council, Knights of Columbus and achieved a Fourth Degree Honourary Life Membership. Paul asked that his obituary should recognize his devoted, loving and understanding wife Loretta, and his loving children, Grant and Janet for his happy life and for any success he achieved throughout his business career. We thank him for the wonderful life he made possible for us and the unconditional love he always showed to our family. The family would like to thank Dr. George, Dr. Joshua, and the nurses, especially Tracey and Linda, and all the Health Care Aides that cared for Paul in a loving and respectful manner. A service will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, on Wednesday, May 23 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation and the Lung Association.

  • Janet, I am so sorry to read about your Dad. I remember how fondly you always spoke of him when we worked together... I know you were 'the apple of his eye', as they say. Sending you love and light my friend. - Posted by: Kelly Kluger (Friend of Janet) on: May 24, 2018
