DONALD EDWARD FORSBERG On Tuesday, March 27, 2018, Donald Edward Forsberg, aged 92 years, beloved husband of Lois and loving father to Neil and Lisa, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, Brandon, Manitoba. Don was born at Broderick, Saskatchewan in 1926 and grew up in the Macrorie area. After graduating from the University of Saskatchewan with a MSc in Agriculture, Don was employed at the Dominion Experimental Farm at Scott, Saskatchewan, moving to Winnipeg in 1962 with the Velsicol Chemical Corporation, then to Portage la Prairie in 1977 with Manitoba Crop Insurance, retiring to Brandon in 1991. He was married to Lois Elliott of Forgan, Saskatchewan in 1951. Don will be greatly missed by wife Lois; son Neil (Azizah Mohd), Amelia and Johan in Oregon; daughter Lisa Birch, and her family Nathan and Jackie (Cooney), great-grandson Paul, Tanis and Tim (Brown), Marshall and Raquel (Garner); as well as by brother Harley of Macrorie and numerous other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Asser and Pearl (nee MacPherson) Forsberg of Outlook, Saskatchewan; brothers, Lloyd and Jarl; sister Lovina Mclean; son-in-law Wayne (Ned) Birch; many aunts, uncles and cousins. A reception to celebrate Don's life was held Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Memories Chapel in Brandon. Interment will take place at Lake Coteau Cemetery at Macrorie, Saskatchewan at a later date. Donations in memory of Don may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 2B3 or to a charity of choice.
